Requiem (Poem)

Requiem

Never shed a tear
over the end of a
 relationship.
Mourn the infinity of lifetimes
     never lived.

(2016)

Unremembrance (Poetry)

I
have to
let you go.

Let me
tell you what I
saw.

I saw you.
I saw me.
I saw a lifetime
of possibilities.

Maybe.

Your hand in mine.
White dresses.
Lazy afternoons
drinking wine.

The laughter of children
that never were
echo in my mind.
They're fading away
with tears in their
eyes.

Everything that
never happened
races past.
Recollections that
weren't memories
explode in a flash of
light.

And then,
silence.

I
have to
let you go.

I have to
let the
idea
of you
go.

I have to
let
you
go
I
have
to.
